A Class 5 licence is the most common licence held by residents of Saskatchewan. It authorizes the operation of cars, vans and two-axle vehicles, and also allows a trailer or vehicle in tow as long as the gross weight does not exceed 4,600 kg. Road Exams

  • Class 5 Courses include road exams, which are based on whether the student has met all the required criteria set forth by SGI and per the instructor’s opinion that the individual is safe and ready to test. Road exams are not guaranteed. All road exams and retests are booked at the discretion of High Grade Truck Driving.

Requirements:

  • Road test — Must hold a Class 7 licence for at least nine months, and must take a road test in a Class 5 vehicle
  • Knowledge tests – Class 5 knowledge tests include: Basic and Sign
  • Training – Approved Class 5 training course
  • Minimum Age – 16 Years Old
